Am I too bad to get Saved?

Short answer: No!

I am amazed at how many people I’ve met who sincerely believe they are “too bad” to be Saved. First, the Bible says All have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), and There is none righteous, no not one (Romans 3:10). The only qualification for salvation is that you must be a sinner. So, if you’re truly a “bad” person you pass the test. In fact you’re infinitely better off than someone who thinks they’re going to Heaven because they’re a “good” person.

It really doesn’t matter how badly you’ve sinned. In God’s eyes, as I mentioned in the last section, anything short of perfection is unacceptable in His sight, whether you’re a saint or a serial killer. Paul, the apostle who wrote 2/3 of the New Testament, used to torture and murder Christians, including , perhaps, women and children! If he can get be Saved, how much worse have you done that you can’t? Paul actually speaks of this paraphrase of1st Timothy chapter 1, verse 16:

But this is exactly why I obtained mercy: That through my experience (--of Christ first saving the absolutely most hopeless and most undeserving case--) I could be an example of the patience and mercy of Christ to those Gentiles who would believe in him and receive everlasting life through my testimony!

So Paul himself was used by God as an example of the most hopeless man being able to be Saved from his sins. In fact, if you think about it, if it was possible for a person to be too bad to get Saved, that would mean that the blood of Jesus was less powerful than the power of the Devil’s sin!

Also it doesn't even matter how much you enjoyed the sin of your past. The Bible admits there is a Pleasure in sin (Hebrews 11:25), but also that The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

In fact you will always have sin in your life. Some of it will be incidental, and there will probably be occasions when you sin willingly. The blood of Jesus covers you! So long as you want to be Saved, and are willing to do the best you can to follow Christ, no matter how bad you mess up, you can have salvation. The only ones who can’t be Saved are the people who think they have no real need of a personal savior, or who have no desire to make any efforts to even try to live a Christian life.
